- Air Conditioners for Rooms – buy a unit with the right size. When the room is very sunny increase the capacity by 10% and if the unit is for the kitchen, the ideal air con capacity is 4,000 Btu per hour.
- Refrigerators and Freezers – Choose refrigerators that have freezers on the top rather than on the side since this type is more efficient. Look for models that have an energy-efficient option.
- Dishwashers – Choose models which uses the least amount of water for lower cost of operation.
- Clothes Washers – Choose the kind that has energy saving features such as front-loading design, water level controls, “suds-saver” features, spin cycle adjustment, and large capacity to save on electric as well as water use.
